More daffodils

Painting these things is addictive! And it's so good to switch between doing detailed pencil studies and very free watercolour painting. That way, doing both feels like an even bigger treat!

It would be impossible NOT to become addicted when the results are this beautiful. They are ethereal!

These are just grand! They are so soft and delicate.

I have the worst time with flowers. These really are loose and soft and flowery. I really like your graphite leaf drawings, too.

These wash sketches are just as nice as you magnolia, where I've just left you a comment.
They are loose and free, with great use of color.
Well done in both mediums and techniques!

I agree! These are beautiful, Dave. I envy the loose and 'ethereal' touch.

Gosh, what beautiful work! I love the daff on the left with that touch of detailing but yes, they are ethereal!
Nice profile photo btw - was it taken in Italy?

Thanks Robyn and Felicity. Yes, the photo was taken in Italy; Elba, to be exact.

These are stunning - in the light of your meditation interest I wonder if you are familiar with the series of books - The Yoga of Drawing: Uniting Body, Mind and Spirit in the Art of Drawing by Jeanne Carbonetti. Bit of weird title but lovely book - she has done a few - Anna Black

Beautiful! I love all of the lost, feathery edges

David,

Clearly you built have the dykes and dug the ditches, and control this medium with the lightest touch. Beautifully.
