Daffodils

I've been experimenting with some watercolours of daffodils, trying to keep them very loose. These are inspired by Jean Haines, a very talented artist. I'm not particularly happy with them, but I think this is a good exercise and, hey, they can only get better!

I Love Daffodils --- they don't grow here in Florida -- and they have such a nice yellow tone.

very nice. maybe you would want to check out botanicalart group on yahoo, where members share/focus on their artwork on nature. this month's challenge in the daffodil (narcissus) and you would already fit in AND have the first challenge done. and nicely done, at that, too!

Excellent job and you did obtain a terrific loosenes (not easy when just starting out in watercolor). If you enjoy challenges, watercolor is a great medium and it's very addictive.
