Manequin

Today is a public holiday in England (not sure about Scotland), but not for the hard-working staff of the University of Oxford. :( Never mind, it rained so much I wasn't really missing much. Unfortunately, that also meant I was confined to indoor sketching, so turned to the trusty manequin. I also wanted to try using my Noodlers ink with water, having been alerted to the fact that it isn't waterproof by Anita, who uses this medium (as so many others) so beautifully.

I can't believe it rained there all day Dave, we have had the most beautiful day here in the Fens...up in the 70's and sun, sun, sun!
LOL...Glad you've realised the beauty of water and Noodler's red/blk, I think it creates such beautiful values used this way.
Great sketch!

Dave, I like the effect you achieved with the Noodler's ink. It adds interest to your trusty mannequin. (By the way, I think I own his twin. ;) )

I also really enjoyed your pen & ink tree and apple blossom. I'll be cheering you on for Every Day in May. I wasn't even brave enough to try. Maybe next year...
