Sketches from the garden




I've been so busy lately that I've fallen behind with my Every Day in May posting, though I have been keeping up with doing some art every day...honest! Today, I'm catching up a little bit by posting some sketches of things growing in our garden. One is of dandelions; unfortunately, I don't know what the others are called (my DW is the gardener in this family), though I've a feeling one of them might be called aquilegia.

    Can't help you with the names of the plants, though I AM trying to educate myself, thanks to a book (The Flower Expert) that my husband bought me. I too am managing to do some art every day, but am resigned now to posting only every couple of days so as not to go all stressy on myself!

    Dave, glad to hear you are keeping up with the art every day even if you are posted less frequently. I'm rooting for you to meet your "everyday in May" goal.

    Well they're definitely plants, Dave and very pretty too, but I never know the names. A book like e-j's sounds wonderful.

    I think that what you typed was very reasonable.
    However, think about this, suppose you were to create a awesome post
    title? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, however what if you added a title to maybe grab people's attention?
    I mean "Sketches from the garden" is kinda plain.
    You should peek at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create news headlines to get viewers interested. You might add a video or a related picture or two to get people excited about everything've got to say.

    In my opinion, it would bring your posts a little livelier.
