Tree study (again!)

I had the chance to go out and draw for a hour or so this evening as the sun was going down, and what better way to spend the time than draw one of my favourite subjects: a tree. I call it a "study" because that sounds like the sort of thing that proper artists do, but really, I just like drawing trees! I had to rush a bit at the end as it was getting dark, but it was a lovely evening to be out drawing.

Study does sound more serious than drawing - you're not just doing this for fun - you're working at it! Lovely job, in any case. I find trees so difficult, I either get lost in the details or just paint green blobs. This is a good lesson for me.

Lovely drawing Dave - that's a very sensitive study

You've done brilliantly with this! I get completely lost in the detail of trees, but you've managed to make it look detailed but also capture that soft evening mood.

I like your girl feeding pigeons too. Well done for finding time to draw amongst all that marking!

The tree is wonderful. And you drew this en plein air? Fantastic idea :)!
